02/02/2008 Smithfield Library Presents Book Signing and Author Talk.

This event will be held from 12:00 noon until 2:30 p.m. at the Smithfield Library. Internationally recognized journalist David Pitts will hold a book signing/author talk for his recently released book, Jack and Lem: The Untold Story of an Extraordinary Friendship: John F. Kenedy and Lem Billings. For 15 years Mr. Pitts was a senior writer for the U.S. Information Agency/Voice of America. His articles on President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert Kennedy and other members of the Kennedy family, were disseminated around the world. He has an MA in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University and a BS in Political Science from Bradford University in England. Books will be available for purchase.
