02/03/2008 "The Last Alleluia" presented by Christ Episcopal Church.

4:00 p.m. Not a service exactly, not a lecture or program, not a recital or a presentation...but a beautiful and thoughtful listening experience. It will feature poertry, music for the last Sunday in Epiphany. Come experience contemporary poetry (some written by local writers) specifically inspired for the last Sunday before Lent. Special music will include selectionsthat complement the poetry for this last Alleluia Hoorah before Ash Wednesday. Violin, horn, organ, and choir will perform music on themesof peace and Epiphany and epiphanies. A quiet service of Evensong will conclude the afternoon, and the choir will sing an anthem written by Edwin H. Pierce, grandfather of Mrs. Dorothy Gary to highlight the service.
