The Virginia Loggers Association held their 8th annual meeting in Lexington, VA on August 27-30, 2010. Friday’s events included a tour of the Greif Brothers paper mill in Riverville, and a reception that evening with state legislators. Saturday’s programs included a presentation by Scott Barrett of the SHARP Logger program and talks by Dr Chad Bolding of Virginia Tech Industrial Forestry and Bobby Goodson on his experience with the Discovery Channel. The event concluded with a “Cowboy Fixins” pig roast with entertainment by The Kountry Kickers.
